  • This warranty and guarantee stated following is in addition and does not affect your statutory rights under local legislation.

  • As has always been our policy, we will endeavour to match or beat competitors offer. All prices quoted are correct at the time of your enquiry but are subject to change without prior notice. We understand the benefit to customer for consistency in pricing and will advise of any impending changes where possible.

  • If you evaluate your return is falling outside these policies, then please contact us first, to ensure your return is honourable.

  • All prices quoted are GST included and errors - omissions are excepted.

  • Prices match guarantee does not apply to some location-indefinable online printer ink, toner cartridge and printer cartridge retailers, or bulk-orders, ex-demo and refurbished products. Also excludes clearance, liquidation or where below our cost price.

  • Free delivery (for customers in 10km radius local areas; business accounts; compatible products) applicable to order over $55.00. Orders under $55.00 incur extra postage charges as per Australia Post's rates. If you are out side of this free delivery zone, please just talk to us, quite often a fast - free parcel drop off can be arranged if Printgear is in the nearby suburb.

  • Same day dispatch: Local business is guaranteed to received the order within 1-3 hours. Other major destinations may takes up to 24hrs turn-around, depends on Australia Post or Courier delivery schedules. Outside these areas expect 2-3 business days.

  • We warrants that our new printer cartridges and refilled and remanufactured printer cartridges are free of defects in material and workmanship until the ink is used up. If any of the above print cartridge is found to be defective, we will, at option, repair or replace the unit or refund the full purchase price. We also warrant that, subject to conditions stated and under normal use, our cartridges will not cause damage, abnormal wear, or deterioration to any compatible printers, copiers, or fax machines.

  • If you are dissatisfied with the quality or performances of any of our printer cartridge, please return the product within 14 days of purchase together with receipt of purchase back to our store. We then will either, repair the faulty cartridge, credit the product's amount against a new cartridge or provide a refund in exchange for the faulty cartridge returned.

  • In an very unlikely event that if a defect in our printer cartridge causes damage to the printer, we will reimburse the customer for the full amount of repair or replacement for the affected machine. This warranty is dependent upon the customer providing us with all satisfactory evidences that the product failure was due to a defect in the Printgear Cartridge Supply products, including a written statement on an authorised service Company's letterhead, dated and signed by the Company's service representative. Return of the defective cartridge in question is also required. We reserve the right to inspect the printer, copier or fax prior to any repairs being undertaken.

    - It is advisable to customer first please contact us with your proof of purchase, to be provided appropriate advice or assign a qualified service technician to address any issues - at no cost to you.

  • Customer shall inspect the Goods on delivery, and shall within fourteen (14) days of delivery notify us of any alleged defect, shortage in quantity, failure to comply with the description or quote. Customer shall afford us an opportunity to inspect the Goods within a reasonable time following delivery if customer believes the Goods are defective in any way. Otherwise, the Goods here be conclusively presumed to be in accordance with the terms and conditions and free from any defect or damage.

  • The Goods and Services are as per described on the invoice, quotation, work authorisation or any other work commencement forms as provided by us to customers. We (PrintGear and it employees) shall not be liable for any consequential loss, expenses or damage because of failure to deliver the goods or services (or any of them) promptly or at all.

  • Goods that is ordered from this website will be delivered from our warehouse, and does not include insurance. Delivery schedule or insurance is arranged separately as per carrier policy.

  • All brand names, trademarks and logos remain the property of their respective owners, and are used within this site for description purposes only.

  • The returned goods asking for a full refund must be in a re-saleable conditions. Wrinkled carton box, opened, tampered, modified, leaky, contaminated are rejected.

  • Defective items will be repaired by an manufacturer's service centre. Please provide contact-able details and address; most P.O. box is not accepted.  A brief description of technical problem (if any), or reason for returning is preferred. The warranty and freight-back to customer are carried out at PrintGear's cost (third party and alike); OEM's freight costs if it is genuine products; covering repairs of the defective product or to be replaced with the same item originally purchased.

  • If it is non-replaceable, a refund will be issued. Credit or replace of defective Goods that are not-repairable upon confirmation of a fault and respective credit or replacement by the supplier / manufacturer. Please note that the policies of many manufacturers covering warranty of goods may result a delay in processing of credits and replacements.

  • PrintGear will not accept return or refund of wrong-purchased product once the packaging is opened. It is highly advisable that customers consult the device's specifications and its model references before opening the package. In case of recordable medias, including CD, DVD, Flashcards and Memory cards; It is also advised that customers first to place a small order to test the product's quantity and compatibility of your device before bulk ordering. All claims shall be made in within fourteen (14) days of delivery, directly to the point of purchase, accompany with valid invoice.

  • Please note: There is a service charge an amount on each item returned for warranty service but eventually tested to be non-faulty. Original packing materials and accessories.. etc. must also be returned for identification purpose.

Determinations of a faulty printer ink cartridge:

To enable credit or replacement for faulty printer ink cartridges, contact us before the end of the cartridge's warranty date, in within fourteen (14) days since purchased.  And also required:

  • In case of return by post: A copy of the "Return Authorised" form, which is provided at the time of warranty claim.

  • A print sample: if complain related to a quality issue; Ink cartridge returned without a print sample cannot and will not be investigated.

  • The ink cartridge must be above minimum weight stipulated by the manufacturer as being applicable for return.

  • Colour printer ink cartridges have had one colour used up or lower than 70% ink level specified by the manufacturer is unable to be credited. When users complain about "colour not printing right" even though the cartridge as a whole is above minimum weight.

  • Warranty does not cover ink cartridges past expiration date, emptied, refilled, colour inks contaminated, misused, modified or tampered with.

  • Damage to the printer or print head resulting from customer's modifying the printer cartridge or incorrect printer maintenance is not the responsible of PrintGear.

Will compatible, refilled, remanufactured print cartridges VOID warranty on your printer?

A./. The Trade Practices Act 1974 (The Act) requires manufacturers of new printers to honour the terms of their new printer warranty unless they are able to prove that the damage done to the printer has been caused by a non-genuine cartridge.

If the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) makes such a claim then this claim must be in writing, clearly explaining how the cartridge has caused the fault. The OEM must prove that the cartridge has caused the fault, it is not up to the user to prove that it has not.

B./. It is prohibited by the Trade Practices Act for an OEM to state that customers should use only their original products when other product (such as a remanufactured cartridge) is available.

The Act prescribes fines of up to $10 million for the company involved and $500,000 for any individual involved.

This provision extends to service technicians employed by OEMs who claims a generic product has caused damage to a machine without then providing the appropriate evidence.

It is becoming increasingly common practice for OEM service technicians to blame a remanufactured cartridge. The fact that repairs are carried out on daily basis where only original brand cartridges have been used.
